Starting in the morning or afternoon, we will first introduce you to diving in the swimming pool, as it offers us a safe & controlled environment to teach you all you need to know. You will practice a variety of different scuba diving skills, split over 5 confined water dives in preparation for your Open Water Dives. The approximate time for the confined water training is 2 to 4 hours.

Day 2 + 3: Open water Training (4 dives in total)

On days 2 and 3, we will depart the harbor at 8 AM and return around 3 PM, depending on location. Once we are inn the open water, we transfer the skills you have learned in the swimming pool to the open water environment. The water will be deeper than in the swimming pool, the visibility will be different, there could be waves or currents to deal with. But as you have mastered the skills in the swimming pool already you will be prepared and able to handle the change in environment. The maximum depth of Open Water Dives on the first day of the open water training in 12 meters.

On day 3, the only notable difference compared to the previous day the previous day is that the maximum depth of the dives can now be up to 18 meters.

Please note!!

You will be required to complete a medical questionnaire prior to starting the course. During your pool training you will need to complete a 10 minute float, unassisted in water too deep in which to stand, and also a 200 meter swim. The minimum age is 10 years old. Student divers who are younger than 15, earn the PADI Junior Open Water Diver certification, which they may upgrade to PADI Open Water Diver certification upon reaching 15. Children under the age of 13 require parent or guardian permission to register for PADI eLearning, or to use PADI Open Water Diver Touch™.

Group sizes for all our courses are kept small – no more than 4 students to one instructor

Medical Questionnaire

Diving is an exciting activity, but it is also demanding. As such, you are required to complete a Medical Statement when you come to our dive centre for the first time. In case you are a minor, your parents or guardian must sign this questionnaire for you.

The purpose of filling in the Medical Statement is to see if there is reason for a medical examination before you start the open water diving course from PADI. Please thoroughly study the questionnaire below to see if you are okay to enroll in our diving couse.

The medical questionnaire is very important to fill in seriously as this could have impact on your safety while diving. If you respond with “yes” to any of the questions on the first page, please contact us to let us know. It does not necessarily disqualify you from diving, but it can require a medical examination before you can start.

IMPORTANT: On the island, you will not be able to find a doctor to provide certification that you are allowed to dive. If you answer yes and require doctors’ verification, this must be done before you come to the island.
